The Undergraduate Admission Office’s new Diversity Outreach Interns worked on recruiting more students of color to the college through outreach to local and national communities this semester.
The search for an assistant dean for campus life has been narrowed to three candidates, with a final decision expected from Associate Dean for Campus Life Erik Muurisepp this week.
The journalism department tested out a new curriculum focused on student needs and industry expectations this semester.

Emerson students marched in small groups in the “Fight Supremacy 2.0” protest against the “Rally for the Republic” gathering in Boston Common on Saturday, Nov. 18, at noon.

This year, two of the 28 people employed in the Emerson College Police Department are women. The department employed just one woman last year and has gone without women in the past.
Anthony Lowrie stepped down from his position as faculty assembly chair after widespread backlash from a faculty-wide email he sent out following the #ThisIsEmerson protest. Associate journalism professor Tim Riley will serve as temporary chair until the body votes to fill the position in January.
“We weren’t given really clear instructions on how to use our radiators, and I was staring at it for a good 30 minutes because I was freezing in my room,” she said.
